ALPACA PARTERRE (LIVE)
Alpaca Parterre is an imaginary place located in the collective ear of the audience.
Spontaneous arrangements of modular synthesizers patch pieces constitute the sonic architecture of a formal garden, where the geometry of cyclical patterns reflects the perpetual balance between the cycle of the seasons, the growth and decay of nature. Low frequencies and ritualistic field recordings draw the conscious mind into an hypnotic dimension.
The rituality of the shamanic chant ceremony, symbolized by the purity of the sacred animal Alpaca, works as guidance along the walk through the sonic texture. The Alpaca, revered in Andean culture for its precious fiber and its friendly behaviour toward man, represents the power to heal/harmonize disturbances of the soul/etheric plane.
It reminds us that we are innerly sewn in the fabric of everything.
Acartep is the moniker of artist Eugenio Petrarca, soundscapes composer and member/co-founder of the ambient project Ab Uno;
Pareal is the alter ego of the singer Flora Päär, using her voice and meditative tools to harmonize with the multiple layers of sensorial/acoustic perception.
Jamming together in the sacred space of the room-studio in Lausitzer Strasse, they have organically and spontaneusly imagined their public performance as an "Alpaca Parterre”.
